Paul Dougherty, ATC, CIEE, CWcHP, CEES

Paul Dougherty joined Industry Health Solutions in 2015 and currently serves as the Director of Operations. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from West Chester University in 2015 and is licensed and certified as an Athletic Trainer. Paul also obtained a master’s degree in Exercise Science from California University of Pennsylvania. His additional certifications include Certified Industrial Ergonomic Evaluator, Certified Workers Compensation Healthcare Provider, and Correctional Exercise Specialist.

Throughout his years at IHS, Paul has played a crucial role in enhancing IHS operations through his contributions to our policy and procedure development process. He has analyzed outcomes and provided leadership in advancing services such as injury prevention, ergonomic evaluations, job demands analysis, and assisting with workers’ compensation case management. Notably, Paul developed proprietary software for IHS used to document Job Demands Analysis and create effective post-offer pre-employment testing for business partners. He also established and maintains an internal meat and poultry-based ergonomic evaluator certification for all IHS injury prevention specialists.

Paul has led several critical projects focused on optimizing working conditions in the protein processing industry, including knife design, scissor usage, glove choices, and workstation improvements to reduce cumulative trauma disorders.
