Accommodation

A reasonable accommodation, in regard to ADA law, is an adjustment made in a system to accommodate or make fair the same system for an individual based on a proven need.  That need in our case is physical and mandated by law.  Accommodations may include specialized equipment, modifications to the work environment or adjustments to work schedules or responsibilities. IHS assists employers in determining which candidates are a safety risk to themselves or others, and which can be reasonably accommodated through job matching provided by our JDAs.

We also look at JDA metrics to recommend how and where to place injured workers in safe and appropriate jobs to optimize production during their restrictions, while helping to ensure the employer is compliant with medical restrictions and avoiding legal issues.
