The EMT/Paramedic Injury Prevention Specialist position is in an occupational medicine setting.

Required Qualifications / Skills
- Injury Prevention EMT/Paramedic certification or license in good standing in the state of Pennsylvania
- good orthopedic skills
- 2 year’s experience preferred
- excellent and dynamic people skills
- high motivation level
- good communication skills
- professional confidence
- able to work autonomously and possess good critical thinking skills
Responsibilities
You and a complete medical team will be providing medical triage and assistance to team members of one of the largest meat processing plants in the country located in Hatfield, Pennsylvania. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Conducting emergency response and triage procedures for initial evaluations for musculoskeletal disorders and injuries such as sprains, strains, lacerations, and contusions. As well as non-occupational, medical emergencies.
- Injury Prevention
- Assessing repetitive motion discomfort
- Determining root cause analysis
- Ergonomic assessments
- Implementation and assessment of proactive programs such as stretching and job rotations
- Analyzing trends and producing reports for safety
- Medical screening
- Electronic medical reporting/documentation
- Case Management Assistance
